In January 1969, the CSKA „Cherveno zname“ merged with the Second Division Septemvri in CSKA „Septemvriysko zname“. Also during the winter break the team of Spartak (Sofia) merged with Levski (Sofia) and Sportist (Sofia, Kremikovtsi) under the name „Levski-Spartak“. In the vacant Spartak spot was is invited by Akademik (Sofia), who was in „B“ group. Akademik started the spring with the points of Spartak. Merge also between the teams of Slavia (Sofia) and Lokomotiv (Sofia) under the name of ZhSK-Slavia. The team continued with Slavia's points, and Lokomotiv recorded awarded official losses.
