Emblems of CSKA Sofia from 1948 to the present
Current Logo (2005 - present)
The logo represents the emblem of USC CSKA with three stars added, each symbolizing 10 championship titles. It was officially adopted after winning the 30th championship title. After the bankruptcy of the old joint-stock company managing the club, the emblem remained part of its assets, which were later purchased at auction for 8 million leva by CSKA owners Grisha Ganchev and Yulian Indzhov. In 2020, a variation appeared where the three championship stars are placed in a semicircle. Over the years, different shades of gold have been used in the emblem.
Variation from 2019
A variation of the original CSKA emblem from the summer of 2019. It differs minimally from the original, with the three stars above the emblem placed in a semicircle, the founding year written in a different font and in gold, and a slogan around the emblem: “Since childhood, you ignited my heart...”. It is used alongside the original emblem.
During the 2018/19 Season
During the anniversary season 2018/19, a modification of the jubilee emblem was used, where instead of the number 70, the laurels formed the infinity symbol ∞, and below the emblem stood the inscription "2018/19".
In the periods 1989 - 1990 and 1998 - 2005
The logo used by SC CSKA and USC CSKA after the separation of FC Septemvri in June 1988. In November 1989, it became official for the football team until the end of February 1991. It was again adopted officially for the football team in February 1998 at a general meeting of the club members. It began being used officially from the summer of 1999 until the 30th title was won at the end of the 2004/05 season.
Autumn 1999
A slight modification of the red version of the CSKA “Septemvriysko zname” emblem, with the inscription “Septemvriysko zname” removed and the year 1948 added. The emblem was adopted as official by PSC CSKA of Iliya Pavlov in the summer of 1999, but was also used by PFC CSKA in the autumn of 1999 on kits and printed materials alongside the other emblem.
In the period 1991-1999
The two emblem variants, red and white, were adopted at the end of February 1991. These emblems were used only by the football club. Over the years, the football, font, and lions underwent numerous minor cosmetic changes. Both versions were used in parallel, with the red one appearing more often in printed materials until around 1995-96, while the white one was used on the kits. After 1996, the white became the main emblem in printed materials as well, while the red one did not disappear completely until the change of emblem in the summer of 1999.
