Sofia Division 1947/48

After falling out of Sofia's First Division last season, Chavdar (Sofia) is in a financial crisis. In order to resolve the crisis on February 15, 1948, at the suggestion of former Shipka functionary Mikhail Mikhailov Chavdar, he teamed up with the Central Military Home (CDV) and adopted the name CDV, so Chavdar returned to the roots of AC-23 and again becomes a military team. Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Mirski was appointed chairman. In order to quickly restore the strength of the team, we are looking for a solution to merge with a team from the Sofia's First Division. Talks were held with representatives of Sportist (Hadji Dimitar Quarter), which emerged as a section of Shipka. Sportist, however, refuse merger.

In a chance meeting between Mirski and Peter Mihailov, the president of Septemvri, it becomes clear that the Septemvri are in financial crisis and can not support the team. The two quickly agree to merge their clubs, that was approved at a general meeting at the Central Military Home May 4, 1948.

The name of the united club become Septemvri pri CDV. General Boyan Balgaranov was elected chairman of the united club and the Defense Minister General Georgi Damyanov was elected honorary chairman. The unification protocol was signed on May 5 in the office of General Boyan Balgaranov. The united club took the place of Septemvri in the Sofia's First Division and the results of CDV in Second Division were annulled.
