Georgi Yomov

Biography

Youth of Levski Sofia from 2006. In 2015 he moved to Slavia Sofia’s academy when his father pays 37000 leva for his rights.  Plays as a right-wing or attacking midfielder but performs well as a forward.  Debut for Slavia on February 21, 2016, in the zero draw against Cherno More, scores his first goal on April 2, 2016, in a victory against Montana with 3:0.  Winner of the Bulgarian Cup for the 2017/18 season after he scores the decisive penalty kick at the final of the tournament. In total, he plays 111 games for the whites with 16 goals and 20 assists.  On August 17, 2020, he signs a contract with CSKA. Debut on August 22, 2020, in the win against Botev Vratsa with 2:1. Scores his first goal on August 24, in the win against B36 Torshavn Faroe Islands with 3:1. Winner of the Bulgarian cup for the 2020/21 season.  Wins third place in the poll for player of the year 2021.

Plays 9 matches and 4 goals for the national team of Bulgaria under 17, 1 game for the one under 19, and 5 games for the under 21 team.  In October 2020 he got called up to the senior national team of Bulgaria, where he debuts with a goal on October 8, 2020, with the loss of 3:1 against Hungary.  In total, he plays 9 games with 2 goals for the team.
