CSKA is the new holder of the Bulgarian Super Cup!

This is a record fourth trophy for the Army men, making them the sole leader in this tournament. In the final played at Lazur Stadium in Burgas, CSKA crushed Litex 3:1 and won the trophy. Litex took the lead with a goal from Kodo at the start of the match, but after about ten minutes Spas Delev equalized. Zicu from a penalty and Delev again sealed another cup for CSKA. Our boys were constantly supported by their loyal fans, who had traveled the distance to Burgas. After the award ceremony, captain Todor Yanchev went up to the club owners in the official stand and presented the award to the birthday boy Mr. Ivo Ivanov. After him, Mr. Dimitar Borisov and Executive Director Mr. Ventsislav Zhivkov lifted the cup. A lap of honor with the trophy followed, and joy with the red fans.

In the 3rd minute, after a hesitant performance by the Litex goalkeeper, Delev was the first to reach the ball and sent it towards the empty net. At the last moment, Bodurov intervened decisively and cleared the ball from the goal line. In the 6th minute, after a mistake in CSKA's defense, Flores headed to the unmarked Kodo, who scored from close range for 1:0. Three minutes later, Rumen Trifonov advanced on the left wing and passed sharply to Michel Platini, but Zanev played the ball before the Brazilian. In the 16th minute, Platini found Delev with a technical pass behind the orange defense. Finding himself alone against the goalkeeper, Delev did not miss and equalized with his left foot. A minute later, Michel Platini tricked Zanev and tried a strong diagonal shot, which went very close to the right post. Several good attacks followed for the Army men, with Yanchev, Nelson, and Zicu actively participating. In the 28th minute, after a poor clearance in the defense of the Lovech players, the ball fell to Delev, who shot instantly, but weakly and straight into Alexandrov's hands. In the 43rd minute, Yiannis Zicu attempted a curling shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball ricocheted off a defender's body and did not trouble the Litex goalkeeper. Shortly before the end of the first half, Platini escaped Zanev's marking and sought Zicu with a piercing cross, but at the last moment the Romanian slipped and failed to connect with the ball.

In the 47th minute, Rumen Trifonov advanced into the Litex penalty area and was fouled by Jos. The main referee awarded a penalty in favor of CSKA. From the white spot, Yiannis Zicu was cool-headed and scored to put his team ahead. Shortly after, Litex player Tom, who came on at halftime, received a direct red card for an elbow to the face of Martin Dechev off the ball. In the 56th minute, Spas Delev hit the crossbar directly from a corner. In the 59th minute, Tosko Yanchev found Spas Delev with a perfect pass, who sent the ball into the net behind the goalkeeper with a technical shot. In the 67th minute, Martin Dechev was replaced by Pavel Vidanov. Vidanov himself had an opportunity to score, but Bodurov intervened decisively and once again saved his team from conceding another goal. In the 75th minute, Rumen Trifonov intervened very well and saved Karadzhov's goal from the lurking Mirasem. In the 82nd minute, Sasha Zivets made his official debut for CSKA, replacing Gregori Nelson. In the final minutes, another debutant, Yiannis Zicu, was replaced by Stanislav Kostov.
