1989/90 Season
During the 1989/90 season, CSKA relied on Adidas kits. The primary shirt was red with white sleeve details, white Adidas stripes, and a white polo collar. In addition, the Wembley and Manchester models from previous seasons were used, as well as a plain red shirt with a red-and-white polo collar and a red shirt with white sleeve details and a crew neck. The shorts featured red-and-white stripes and were available in both white and red versions; plain versions without stripes were used less frequently. The away shirts were identical to the home versions with the colors reversed. The socks were red and white. For the first time, some shirts featured a sponsor, the freight forwarding company Comco. The club crest was completely absent from these kits.
Summer 1985 - Summer 1989
During the period from summer 1985 to summer 1989, CSKA once again relied on Adidas kits. Some of the models used included Wembley, Manchester, Santos/Santiago, La Paz, and others. Initially, a red shirt with thin white pinstripes, Adidas stripes, and either a red collar with a white triangular insert or a white V-neck was used. Later, plain red shirts with sleeve stripes and either a crew neck, V-neck, or polo collar were introduced. The atypical red-and-white shirt divided vertically down the middle was also used. The away kits were based on the same models as the home kits but with the colors reversed. The shorts were white or red, with some models featuring thin vertical stripes. The socks were red and white. During this period, the club crest was almost entirely absent from the kits and appeared only at the very beginning of the era.
Spring 1983 - Summer 1985
During the period from spring 1983 to summer 1985, CSKA relied on Puma kits, with several different variations being used. The primary kit was red with white sleeve stripes and a polo collar, and this model existed in two versions. In addition, red kits with white sleeve stripes and either a crew neck, polo collar, or a collar featuring a white triangular insert were used. The away kits were white versions of the same models with the colors reversed. In 1984, CSKA also had a yellow-and-black third kit [note: identical to the one used by Botev Plovdiv during the same period], which was worn in matches against Monaco. The shorts were white-and-red or red-and-white, while the third kit used black-and-yellow shorts. The socks were red with white cuffs or plain white. The club crest was completely absent from the kits. Initially, the shirts featured the inscription "CSKA" on the chest, but following a press campaign, a patch bearing the Cyrillic inscription "ЦСКА" was added.
1980/81 Season
During the 1980/81 season, shirts produced by the Yugoslav company "Kombinat Sport" were used alongside Adidas equipment. The kit came in red and white versions and featured a polo collar, sleeve stripes, and stars on the sleeves. The shorts were white or red Adidas models. The socks were either red Adidas socks or red-and-white socks with the cuff color reversed. The club crest was completely absent from the kits.
