1976 - 1983
During the period 1976–1983, CSKA relied on Adidas kits, with several different variations being used. Some of the models included the World Cup Dress and Santos/National. The red home kit featured white shoulder stripes and a white crew neck. A version with a white collar and a triangular insert at the neckline was also used, as well as the atypical red-and-white kit split vertically down the middle. The away kit mirrored the home kit, with white as the primary color and red as the secondary color. In 1982, CSKA also had a third kit featuring a yellow-and-red shirt, which was used in the away match against Monaco. The shorts were predominantly red, although white shorts were also used; both versions featured the characteristic Adidas stripes. The socks were red or white with stripes, while yellow-and-red socks were worn in the match against Monaco. The club crest appeared on some kits, but not on all of them.
1968 - 1975
During the period 1968–1975, CSKA relied on domestically produced kits, with several different variations being used. The primary red kit featured a white polo collar, while other versions had a white buttoned collar, or a white or red crew neck or V-neck. The away kits were white with either a crew neck or a V-neck. In 1972, CSKA also had a third kit featuring a green shirt, which was used in the away match against Ajax. In 1973, for a match against Ajax, it turned out that CSKA had brought only their first-choice kits, but the referee did not allow them to wear them because of the color clash with Ajax. As a result, the Dutch side provided their spare blue shirts to CSKA for the match. During this period, the shorts were predominantly white or white with a red stripe, while red shorts were used only occasionally. The socks were plain red or white, or red with white bands on the cuff. The club crest appeared on most kits.
